The second Chi-Town Showdown Soccer Tournament took place July 24 in Chicago, and FC Bodrost Chicago defended their title and took home another trophy.
After a long day of tournament play, only two teams remained. FC Bodrost Chicago and Strong One Freight finished a close game with a final score of 1-0. FC Bodrost received the grand prize, a suite to a Chicago Bulls home game for the 2021-22 season, along with a custom trophy and bragging rights. It turned out to be a great day with even better games.
A big thanks and congratulations to all the teams who participated in a fun day of soccer and BBQ:

This is the second time the tournament has been held in Chicago after being unable to host the event in 2020 due to the pandemic. Sixteen teams from around the Chicago area participated in the tournament this year, up from eleven in 2019. Each team competed in a minimum of three, 25-minute long games with the top 8 teams advancing to the quarter finals.
A BBQ lunch was provided from Triumph’s Epic BBQ truck halfway through the day. Attendees were also able to enjoy homemade food and an open bar after the first wave of games.
